A look at OpenSUSE.org
An article on Novell 's open source portal - openSUSE.org - appears in the current issue of Novell Connection Magazine (1st Quarter 2006) and can be found at http://www.novell.com/connectionmagazine/2006/q1/tech_talk_5.html. Not only will you find documentation and other links on this site, but it is also where betas and development releases are posted. You can also report bugs through the Bugzilla database, participate as a developer and so on. According to Novell, the goals of this project are three-fold:
1. Make SUSE Linux the easiest Linux distribution for anyone to obtain and the most widely used open source platform.
2. Provide an environment for open source collaboration that makes SUSE Linux the world's best Linux distribution for new and experienced Linux users.
3. Dramatically simplify and open the development and packaging process to make SUSE Linux the platform of choice for Linux hackers and application developers.
